「好みや、好みの偏り（偏好）」というと、「preference」がまず浮かぶのではないでしょうか。
それ以外にも、「taste」なんかもありますね。
ですが、今回は別のフレーズを紹介します。
今回のフレーズは「penchant for」です。
意味：～に対する強い好み、 偏好、傾向
使用例1つ目は「キャッスル」からです。
Ryan : Did Charlie have any problems with anyone on set? (チャーリーは撮影現場で誰かと問題を起こしていたか？)
Hank Harper : Not that I’m aware of. Everybody loved him. What’s not to love?(僕の知る限りでは、そんなことはなかったよ。みんなに好かれていた。嫌う理由がないよ。)
Esposito : He took a look at the accounting books recently. Any idea why?(最近帳簿を見たらしい。なぜか知ってるか？)
Hank Harper : Can’t imagine. Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa. Easy.(想像もつかないよ。 おいおい 落ち着けよ)
Ryan : Well, we might. Maybe Charlie thought somebody was skimming money.(まあ、そうだな。チャーリーは誰かが金をくすねたと 思ったのかもな)
Castle : Yes, we heard about your penchant for creative bookkeeping.(ああ、君の独創的な帳簿作成の趣味は聞いてるよ)
Hank Harper : Wait. You think I killed him?(待てよ。俺が殺したと思ってんのか？)
2つ目の使用例は「Unforgettable」からです。
Eliot: Want to hear a funny story? (面白い話を聞きたい？)
Carrie: Sure.(もちろん）
Eliot: Melvin Stearns…turns out, someone informed the mayor of Melvin’s penchant for golfing vacations in the Poconos and his curious little habit of charging his green fees to the Department’s recreation budget.（メルビン・スターンズはのことだ…誰かが市長に、メルビンがポコノスでのゴルフ休暇を趣味にしていて、そのグリーンフィーを署の経費として請求しているという興味深い習慣を知らせたんだ）

3つ目の使用例は「ルシファー」からです。
Lucifer: Oh, come now, brother. I think you’ve grown to like the place, haven’t you? Come on, be honest. When we return to Heaven, there must be something that you’re gonna miss, eh? Or someone, maybe? Someone in tight leather pants with a penchant for knives? I’m referring to Maze, of course. (おいおい、兄貴。この場所が好きになったんだろう? さぁ、正直に言えよ。天国に戻ったらきっと恋しくなるようなことがあるんだろ？それとも誰か、かな？タイトなレザーパンツをはいた ナイフ好きな奴とか？もちろんメイズのことだ)
